Ironworkers District Council of Mid-Atlantic States Endorse Jay Jones for Attorney General
Council representing Ironworkers Locals 5 and 28 Announces Support of Jones’ Historic Campaign on Behalf of Virginia’s Families
Norfolk, VA — Today, the Ironworkers District Council of Mid-Atlantic States announced its endorsement of Jay Jones for Attorney General.
“Jay Jones has the necessary experience on our issues to help the iron workers and our industry prosper, and level the playing field for workers and contractors alike,” said Sebastian Feculak, State/Local Political Coordinator and Government Relations for International Association of Iron Workers – Mid-Atlantic.
“I’m proud to have the support of the Ironworkers. Virginians should be guaranteed a safe place to work with pay and benefits that allow them to both live and work in their communities. As Attorney General, I will always fight for those priorities,” said Jay Jones. ”I look forward to working with the Ironworkers to protect Virginia’s workers and strengthen Virginia families.”
The International Association of Ironworkers District Council of the Mid-Atlantic States, including Local 5 and 28 of Virginia, represent thousands of construction tradesmen and women across the Commonwealth. The Ironworkers represent apprentices and journeymen who build our transportation and energy infrastructure, schools, commercial and industrial buildings, and everything in-between. Additionally, the Ironworkers host US Department of Labor registered apprenticeship programs, which train individuals of all backgrounds and ages in the construction industry.
