Senator Cory Booker Endorses Jay Jones for Attorney General
Norfolk, VA — Today, Senator Cory Booker endorsed Jay Jones for Virginia Attorney General.
During his tenure in the U.S. Senate and as Mayor of Newark, New Jersey, Senator Booker has been a tireless advocate for a fair legal system and seeking solutions to reduce crime. This past spring, Booker broke the record for the longest delivered filibuster to protest President Trump and Elon Musk’s cuts to the federal workforce.
“Jay Jones will be a tireless fighter for Virginia families as Attorney General, and that’s why I’m so excited to announce my endorsement today,” said Senator Cory Booker. “Jay Jones has the vision, commitment, and integrity to keep families safe and make sure every Virginian gets a fair shake in the justice system. I’ll be working every day to ensure Jay wins this race.”
“It’s an honor to have earned the endorsement of Senator Booker,” said Jay Jones. “I look forward to working with Senator Booker to protect Virginia families — from crime and violence, corporate price gouging, and politicians with extreme agendas — as Virginia’s next Attorney General.”
Jay Jones is a former member of the Virginia and former Assistant Attorney General for the District of Columbia. In that role he took on corporate interests like the gun lobby and big banks. He also took on the Youngkin Administration to protect voting rights on behalf of the Virginia NAACP.
